DNR’s Division of Forestry (DOF) is suspending the planning project for revising the 1991 Susitna Forestry Guidelines (SFG). The major factor influencing this decision is the concurrent revision underway for a large part of the 1985 Susitna Area Plan that is called the draft Susitna-Matanuska Area Plan (SMAP). The Division of Forestry intends to keep the existing Guidelines in place while this and other planning processes are underway. For more information please contact:

The Department of Natural Resources is revising the Susitna Area Plan. We are working in conjunction with the Mat-Su Borough (MSB) as they continue to develop their Forest Management Plan (FMP) and Natural Resource Management Unit Plans (NRMUP) for borough land.
The state and borough desire your input throughout the planning process.
